Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle:
'In which Charlie gets stuck on the toilet and is forced to
make big changes for 2007... with 4 new ideas for
his loyal band of junglers ...'
Hi,
Well, it was another great Christmas for yours truly.
I caught an Evil Stomach Bug from Hell on the Friday before Christmas and spent the following week glued to the toilet.
Deck the halls with bowels of holly, tra la la la la...
Yes, too much information... I know... but I told you when you joined the Biz Opp Jungle that I would share ALL my adventures with you.
But some good came of my agonies.
Sitting on the throne for so many hours, I had plenty of time to think...

About how this year needs to be different
**********************************
When I started this free newsletter, the idea was that I'd share my moneymaking disasters with you, so you could learn from my mistakes.
Thing is, 2006 went pretty well for me.
This time last year, I was yet another biz opp wanderer. I didn't have a website, an e-letter or even a product to sell.
My main occupations were talking a big game and clutching at straws.
But now I have a regularly visited review site , an e-letter with a growing number of readers, my own book ('The Inbox Tycoon')...
and I've set myself up as an email marketing consultant for independent publishers, start ups and small companies.
I'm not blowing my own trumpet here. (Christmas was windy enough for me, if you get my drift). I just want to keep moving, and step things up a gear in 2007... both for me AND for you.
See, I've shared many of my opinions and adventures with you. But I know I can do more to get some money in your pocket...
So this year, I want to do FOUR things:
** Show you what happens as I try to promote my own information product ('The Inbox Tycoon') to other e-letters and lists. Whether you get a product from clickbank, license it from abroad, or write it yourself, you can DO THE SAME! There's a lot to learn, lots of money to be made, and I hope we'll do it together.
** Make the review website even bigger, more informative and user friendly, with blog entries and new reviews, so you can stay on top of ALL the latest scams, dodgy opps and little-known opportunities. I will be pressing all my contacts for the latest gossip and insider information.
** Vastly increase The Biz Opp Jungle e-letter circulation, and show you how I do it. This way I'll be able to get more reviews and feedback from real seekers trying the latest products. Obviously I can't sample everything myself, so I rely on having a huge loyal army of like-minded folk to help me out. (Please pass this email onto as many people as you think will benefit!)
** Give you more advice, tips and marketing guidance, as someone who is now climbing onto the first rung of the biz opp ladder. I'm not saying I've cracked it yet, but I'm getting there...
All this will still be for free, of course. And twice every week, with no obligation to buy anything through me, from me, or be bullied into a sneaky upgrade.
Of course, if you want to buy my book about making money from emails, you're MORE than welcome!

Okay, clever clogs, how do we make this work?
***************************************
Without further ado, here are my ideas for helping you make money this year:
Firstly, I encourage you to write in if you've any questions about various biz opps, especially marketing, copywriting, publishing, e-letters, blogs, websites...
I can't promise to give you direct counsel (I'll leave that to the subscription services) but I WILL make sure I weave your queries and comments into future emails.
This way I can write my Biz Opp Jungle emails about what really matters to you and your fellow seekers. By including this stuff, all my readers can learn and be inspired.
I also encourage you to send me mini-reviews and feedback on various biz opps or moneymaking strategies you've tried. This will help me offer MORE information on MORE products, MORE regularly.
Because the people who really know are the people on the ground trying this stuff out, right?
The way I'm thinking, we can build a little community here in our little corner of the biz opp jungle. Sharing knowledge... scratching each other's backs... protecting each other...
Not that I'm saying we're like monkeys. We're just ANTI-snake.
And there are plenty of the slippery blighters about.

Finally, let's make some realistic goals
********************************
The final idea harks back to something I said at the end of last year.
While seeking big money, overnight success and financial independence is a noble aim, it's not hugely realistic.
It's like trying to grow an oak tree in a year, simply by cheering a lot and throwing money at it.
This year, we should try and find the little acorns that make a couple of hundred quid here and there. Let's start small, with baby steps. Let's look for little ideas you can try out in a few hours a week, part time.
Once a small idea works in practice, you can begin growing it into something huge. A cheeky part-time earner can turn into a huge chunk of income.
It needs patience, and a willingness to keep trying things out.
Take this email for example. It's from a reader who 'fell under the spell of fast2net about five years ago' and didn't make a penny.
(If you haven't come across Fast2net, then check out my review here:

Although the big money idea didn't work out, he writes:
'In passing I have now found a nice little sideline via Sharon Fussell selling second hand books on Amazon. I won't make a fortune, but as I retire next March it will give me something to do going to auctions, jumble sales and boot sales looking for new stock.'
This guy's got a great attitude.
It's not easy to make a fortune, but it IS easy to start earning a few extra quid regularly. And if you can do that, then big things await you in the future.
Oh, and if you haven't heard of Sharon Fussell yet, then check out my review of her product. It's one of my favourite part-time cash earners. Tried and tested by plenty more people who do this and make it work...

I'll be looking for as many of these little
diamonds this year as well the big hitters.
*****************************************
Not only that, I'll be seeking out more independent trading courses, educational products, investment opportunities, one-off property opps and business blueprints, too.
And now I've set my goals for the year, I'll be back on Wednesday with my tuppenceworth on Chris Cobb's CDC Marketing.
Later Alligator,
Charlie Wright
