Want to know how to con a bunch of folk?

Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle:

'In which Charlie finds out how easy it is to fake Clickbank earnings, reveals Goal Setting Secrets from Michael Masterson and wonders about Doug Savage.'

Hi,

Here's something that may make your hair stand up on end.

And if you've lost most of your hair, this could actually STIMULATE those dead hair follicles and make them come alive again.

It's a video that shows you how to con a bunch of people into thinking you've made a ton of money on Clickbank:

How easy was that to fake? Terrifying.

(How's your hair now? Is it sprouting skywards? Do you have a thick mane of the stuff like a lion? I told you it would work. Charlie's instant Hair-Gro.)

Okay, so why have I shown you this?

Well I thought it was amusing and shocking enough to be of interest. It was Jon Street who posted it on the What Biz Opp site a few months ago.

I looked at it again the other day and was reminded of how tricky it is to separate the phony marketers who aren't really all that rich or successful.... from real self-made businesspeople. The people you need to listen to.

Many so-called gurus are fakes. They pluck profit figures from the nether regions of their imagination and make up an accolade or two themselves.

"The greatest online marketer since the Dawn of Time"

"Internationally renowned expertise expert in the art of expertise."

"Hottest selling super-seller genius sales guru in the world, ever."

Blah blah blah blah.

However, there are guys out there who are the real deal.

Learn how to set goals from a genuine success story

In a moment I'll show you a youtube video from one of them. He's a guy I've met in person. His name is Michael Masterson.

If you're a keen Jungler you'll remember I mentioned him in my email on the 23rd August (the email about Bill Bonner setting up a business form his kitchen table).

It was Masterson who followed Bill into the world of email newsletters, creating Early To Rise.

But long before that he was a book writer, copywriter and marketer. In fact he invented the AWAI course (which I have done myself and literally changed my own life. I recommended this way back -check out this review )

In short, Masterson achieved a lot. He's semi-retired these days and writes books about his marketing strategies... among other things like making films in his spare time, wrestling bears and doing jujutsu.

Let's just say, he packs a lot in.

Although thinking about it again, I don't believe he actually wrestles bears. I made that up.

Whatever. Michael's tips on setting goals are HIGHLY worth following. If you've been struggling to put your plans into practise, or get your latest project off the ground, I urge you to check this out

It may seem a simple secret when you think about it, but most people - me included - flail about doing the least important and easiest work possible... instead of turning what spare time we do have into actual MONEY.

Here you have advice from a direct mail marketing guru with the credentials to match his extremely well-kept American teeth.

So what about Doug?

However, one guy I'm still trying to find out more about is Doug Savage. He's the guy behind My Junk Mail Secret.

Now I know a lot about internet marketers, the various gurus and writers who've shaped the industry. And his isn't a name that has ever cropped up. Then again, maybe that's why he has a "secret".

However I know that My Junk Mail Secret was being sold in America first, and then came to the UK. So I'm wondering what the story is behind this transatlantic phenomenon.

One reader who bought it recently was then asked to buy another Resell Rights product called "Business in a Box". He decided he didn't want to be part of any of it. So he sent back My Junk Mail Secret with a letter asking for a refund.

My reader reports:

"NO refund, NO response. I have tried to trace the company, but without success."

A reader recently emailed me with the promotional letter for his Resell Rights 'business in a box' product. The publishing address for this is Five One Publishing, FREEPOST RG2722 Reading, Berks RG4 5ZZ.

So could be worth writing to them there. The email address on the promotion for the Resell Rights product is: dougsavage@rocketmail.com

I'll be interested to hear from anyone who's tried this or My Junk Mail Secret. After all, junk mail (or its posher name "direct mail") is a cornerstone of many a home business or cottage industry. So I'm not putting it down by any means.

Either in old fashioned paper form, or modern email, it's a style of hard selling that really works.

Later alligator
