Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle:
'In which Charlie explains why copywriting is not
just about writing sales letters... checks out
Domain Profit Guide.... and offers some
Clickbank tips and a companion piece to Andrew
Reynolds' Cash on Demand'.
Hi,
I got some amazed responses after last Sunday's
email....
"If that copywriting course is so good, how come
YOU don't make money this way?"
And...
"If this was the BIG ONE for you, how come
you've never recommended it before?"
Of course, I've had a review of the AWAII
copywriting course on my website since day one
of Adventures in the Biz Opp Jungle.
It was the first review I ever wrote. Unsurprisingly,
because it DOES make me money.
It's the very reason I have a website....
...And it's why you're reading this right now.
Everything I learned from that copywriting course
enables me to do ALL my other biz opps...
publishing, article marketing, email newsletters,
advertising, consultancy.
The sales page for the copywriting course goes on
about it being a career where you pitch to clients...
but that's an old fashioned way of looking at it.
Times have changed.
With the internet, anyone - yes, YOU - can
quickly create websites and sell their wares or
services.
But if you want to succeed, you need to be able to
write compelling headlines, interesting copy and
alluring websites... otherwise you'll be outgunned
by people who can.
Knowing the rules of persuasion is vital.
Imagine if you knew how to SELL absolutely
anything....products off a website, eBay goods,
resale rights products, even yourself.....or even
CREATE anything.... newsletters, books, courses,
manuals, tipping services, articles.
Then imagine if you could create AND sell your
own stuff.
You'd be a home business powerhouse.
It was my knowledge of copywriting (studying that
exact course) that enabled me to write my
information book The Inbox Tycoon, and the
sales page for it.

It was after I studied copywriting for a few years
that I could confidently create my Adventures in
the Biz Opp Jungle website and email service.
Being able to write email newsletters meant I
could pitch to a small US publishing company last
year... asking them to pay me to consult them on
their e-letter business. The resulting contract
earned me £18,000 over a year, just for emailing
them tips and critiquing their email marketing!
I'm not blowing my own trumpet, I'm just saying
that you can apply the rules of writing to things
other than old fashioned sales letters.
If you're serious about internet marketing,
you NEED to know the techniques of
communication, selling and self-promotion.
My skills got me a gig this year ghost-writing a
mail-order book for a publishing company. I even
wrote the newspaper advert for it. Thanks to
studying of copywriting I can write my own biz opp
articles and put them online so that I get publicity
and readers for my newsletter.
And it means I can write the articles I've submitted
to the magazine, Personal and Finance
Confidential (if you subscribe to than you may
have seen them?) and also What Really Makes
Money.
So the upshot is, yes, I have made money from
the copywriting course. I don't need to go pitching
for business, it's simply part of everything I do.
Anyway, that's the last I'll say on the matter for
now.

Some useful Clickbank tips
On a similar topic, I got an interesting email the
other day about Clickbank,(www.clickbank.com )
the website that allows you to pick and choose
information products that you can then sell on
commission.
The reader asked "How can you tell if the product
is any good before you sell it?"
Simple. You should do what I do. If you like the
look of a Clickbank product, order it, look at it, and
then send it back if it's rubbish. It's the only way to
find out.
The trick is to find OINE niche subject area, like
money, biz opp, trading betting, health, fitness,
personal development.... then become an expert
in that area.
Create your own library of products. Specialise in
them. Soon you'll be able to tell the good ones
from the clunkers.
Knowing how popular the subject of domain name
trading is with my readers, I've bought one off
Clickbank the other day: The Domain Profit
Guide.
It's about finding domain names you can then sell
on for profit. I know a bit about this because I've
been looking into it myself. You may have got my
email about it ("Why this dotcom is a license to
print money").
If not check it out on my website:
www.bizoppjungle.com
I'll let you know how I get on with The Domain
Profit Guide. It looks pretty interesting, but I
guess it's all about whether it works in practice. So
if you've made money from a domain name,
please get in touch.
How to sell fantastic UK products you
know and love.
If you are selling clickbank products right now,
don't be afraid to branch out. There are lots of
health, motivation, self-improvement, computer,
financial and trading products being published in
the UK.
If you see something you like being sold through
a newsletter or in the newspaper, get in touch with
the publisher. Arrange an affiliate deal.
If you're passionate about something, you'll be
able to sell it.
The key is to build up a customer base. Focus on
one subject area. Start mailing potential
customers. And choose the sorts of info products
that will appeal to them.
If you don't know how to do this, you should
definitely read The Inbox Tycoon.
It explains how to find a niche, set up an email
newsletter and use that to start marketing a line of
niche information products on a commission basis.
If you know about copywriting, you can even
selling your OWN products .
I know a lot of people are following Andrew
Reynolds Cash on Demand. If you are one of
them, The Inbox Tycoon would make an
excellent companion his course. I show you how
to come up with saleable ideas that will attract
customers in droves.

Lots of stuff to think about today. I'll be back with
some new reviews on Wednesday.
