Hi,

I went to a barbeque last Sunday in New Cross, South East London.

On the way I popped into an off-license, grabbed ten bottles of cold San Miguel and a giant bag of Kettle Chips.

The bloke behind the till said: "Who's playing then?"

"Who's what?"

"Who's playing?"

"Who's PAYING?" I strained to hear him. "Er, me?"

"No, who's PLAYING?" He said, nodding at the large amount of beers and crisps.

"Oh, right," I realised he thought I was stocking up for a footie match. "I'm just going to a barbeque."

I'm rarely taken for a football fan. Not surprising, since I know sod all about football. So the question was confusing. I had no idea who was playing. Or if anyone was playing at all.

So bearing that in mind, I didn't know much about Alan Brazil, the ex-Scotland football player and Talksport radio presenter.

I did however watch the 1982 World Cup in which he played. But I needed more than a childhood memory to get some answers about this latest betting service...

How Alan Brazil aims to score you some cash

After my short review of Betting Banter a month ago, I got a stream of requests for more about this.

So I went on the hunt for some information from the publisher at FSM, Nick Wrathall.

He explained that they'd recently scored (gettit?) a coup in securing Alan Brazil's insight and talents for a new Football Advisory Service.

The idea of the service is that Alan sends his bets to you via text message. Each one is allocated a number of points, from 1 to 4. These indicate how strong Alan's Bet is: 1 point for a normal bet and 4 points for a maximum bet.

You also get details on which match to bet on, which team to bet on, which result to bet on, and the odds available to you. So it's all very user friendly.

Of course, the proof is in the eating of the pudding, the kicking of the football, or what have you.

If you're interested, my advice is to take their 30-day trial offer and put Alan Brazil's prowess to the test and see what you think.

The team at FSM advise you remove any risk by paper-trading or using small stakes at the start. Nick and Alan suggest £5-£10 a bet to kick off with, although it's entirely up to you.
