Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle...
'In which Charlie recommends legalised theft...
gets some good feedback on Mr Pat Adams... and spots
a potentially dodgy tipster service.'
Hi,
Remember the other week I offered you Napoleon Hill's 'Think & Grow Rich' as a free download?
Of course you do! Everyone remembers a free gift, right?
But do you know WHY I could give away one of history's most inspirational bestsellers for free?
Because there's no copyright. The book is in the public domain, so anyone can repackage it and use it for his or her own purposes.
I know I bang on about my ambition to become an evil millionaire with a golden throne and pants made of silver. But I decided not to use 'Think & Grow Rich' for my immediate gain.
Instead, I used it as a 'love gift' to reward my loyal readers. Nice guy that I am.
(Secretly, the e-book contains a virus that will burrow into your brain and make you my slave FOREVER! HA HA HA HA HA!)
But there's more you could do with out-of- copyright books. You can turn them into a nice little part time earner.
And here's how...
Steal your own bestseller from a website
All you do is go to a public domain website.
There you'll find books with titles like "The Science of Getting Rich" (already sounds a bestseller... but unfortunately someone's already snapped that one up and made a killing!)
Or even famous books that have slipped out of copyright, like HD Wells' "The War of The Worlds".
Then you repackage them and sell them through classified ads... on eBay... on your own website... or on websites like mine!
This is one of my favourite small biz opps at the moment. It's got to be one of the fastest, easiest ways to set up your own publishing enterprise I've ever seen.
It's like cheating at an exam. Or, more accurately, STEALING someone else's publishing business.
If I hadn't spent many years learning how to do this writing malarkey, I'd probably go for this kind of business myself.
You don't have to write the books yourself, or pay someone else to write them. You just take them and make money from them.
The best person to tell you all about stealing your own publishing business is Avril Harper. She's written a business blueprint called "The Ultimate Public Domain Profit Plan".
It's an great way to make some part time cash, boost your current biz opp, or fish for new customers online.
Go and have a look at her excellent website
100% of the profits, and no
royalties to pay!
I love the sub-headline on Avril's excellent business blueprint:
"How to find, repackage and republish works you can get for FREE in the public domain... selling as many copies as you like... keeping 100% of the profits... and never having to pay a penny in fees or royalties!"
Blimey. Talk about summing it all up!
And it works, too. If you get a great 'how to' book from the public domain you can generate a nice little stream of income. In fact, find a good title, and I'll happily put it on this website and we'll split the proceeds.
Avril reckons you can make at least £30,000 a year from this business and my gut instinct is to believe her.
So bring it on! Don't be selfish! I want a piece!
Or if you don't want to make ME money, you can also use the books as a free way to lure people to your website, where you can then sell them all kinds of other stuff and make even more cash.
Imagine it, FREE content for your own website, a bonus gift for new customers, a lure to get people onto your website, a nice little love gift to reward your subscribers...
Come to think of it. I should be doing more of this!
Anyway, if you don't do anything else today, go to this website and have a look - click here.
More on Pat Adams
I've had some more feedback on Pat Adams.
One reader tells me that the product its self was okay, with plenty of information on the publishing, marketing and direct mail. But the customer service left a lot to be desired.
Mr Adams rarely answered emails, and took two months to set up an affiliate website as promised. Then it was hard to get the affiliate payments out of him. It even went as far as threats of legal action.
"My experiences of him have left a very sour taste," said my reader.
Another email said:
"The first issue contained very little of any value, although the second issue promised to give us a chance to sell "The Key" as a JV partnership. I awaited eagerly for the second issue as I had begun to formulate a strategy to promote the affiliate program, but to my anger the affiliate program would cost me an extra £97."
"I'm two issues into 'The Key' and have nothing to show for it. I think I'll quit before I've given Pat Adams any more of my cash. I'd advise your readers to steer clear of 'The Key'. Use this letter in any way you want. Warn people!"
Consider it done, mate!
A warning about Soccerform
One of my readers has just signed up for a tipster service called Soccerform.
He's promised to report back on how it goes. But a quick warning if you're
considering it. I did a quick rummage around online and found this on a forum:
"I have received details in the post on a company called Soccerform. I have also looked at their website. The results they publish are all for 2001/2002 season which isn't very helpful. They have a system called "Hat-trick" which is basically a treble bet. Has anyone else used the services of this company and if so, can you tell me the pros and cons?"
The answer?
"Yes, I signed up for a month then
received another mailshot from them and their claimed results didn't match up to my selections. Need I say any more?"
I'll update you on this in a few month's time.
In the meantime, make sure you check out my site for new reviews, forum chat, and past issues! And don't forget to take a look at Avril's Public Domain website here.
Cheers me dears,
Charlie Wright
