‘In which Charlie continues his crusade to bring you immediately useful business tips and Rob Cornish gives you a 3 minute business opportunity strategy’

Hi

Stay sitting down...

Don’t get up to make a cup of tea....

Don’t even BLINK.

If you know what’s good for you, then take a couple of minutes to read the information below right now. It’s a quick business start-up strategy... in just 3 minutes.

THIS is the sort of ‘must-know’ information most internet marketers and publishers charge for... but I’ve decided to rebel against all that.

My resolution this year was to pass you a tonne of information for free and by hook or by crook I’m going to do it.

As well as my own tips, I’ve been hassling other people to provide it in these newsletters – especially people who are in the early stages of their online business, because they have the freshest tips, and their success shows you it CAN BE DONE.

Today’s contribution comes from Rob Cornish.

My 3-Minute Business Opportunity System

By Rob Cornish
----------------------------------------------------------------

Being an avid reader of Biz Opp Jungle I'd first like to thank my good friend Charlie for this opportunity to let you in on one of my business brainstorming secrets...

Let me begin by asking if the following has ever happened to you?

Sometimes, I'll be sitting in the bath (or more likely in the pub!) and have a EUREKA moment. Wham - a great new business idea!

If you're anything like me then you'll know that it is all too easy to get carried away with that first rush of euphoria as the idea takes hold.

However, not so fast!

As you think more about the opportunity it is often the case that the excitement fades. If the idea was "generated" in the pub, perhaps with a friend, then I personally find this especially true when I'm feeling slightly fragile the next morning!

Anyway, in a nutshell, it is all too easy for these potentially great ideas to get forgotten and not properly taken advantage of.

In fact, I was terrible at this when I first got started making money online back in April 2010: I was constantly inventing new business ideas and products only to bin them shortly afterwards.

One of the main reasons that my business ideas got trashed was that I got really stuck with this question:

"How do I know if people would actually spend their hard earned money on my product?"

This is a great question, and thanks to the wonders of the internet, it is now possible to check this out for yourself - for FREE!

Here's what I do:

1. Grab a coffee.
2. Switch on my PC.
3. Open Internet Explorer and bring up Google Trends
4. Think of some phrases (3 or more is good) that are related to the business idea.
5. Punch these phrases - one at a time - into the text box.
6. Click the "Search Trends" button.
7. Look at the chart!

The chart tells you the trend of people who are searching Google for each phrase that you enter.

Basically, you want to see a reasonably stable or rising trend here. More often than not this means you're on to a hot idea and there are plenty of potential customers out there for you.

But if you see a trend which is heading down to zero then obviously your idea may not be as hot as you first thought!

This free bit of kit from Google is a GREAT tool that I use almost every day to find hot consumer trends for my business and I recommend you do the same whenever you are considering new ways of making money.

To get started, here's a straightforward example: Let's say we were looking into mobile phone recycling. The general idea here is that we could earn commission by promoting companies that offer mobile recycling services.

To check this idea out simply type the phrase "mobile phone recycling" into Google Trends.

If you do this you'll see that the system even tells you where this phrase is most popular. I did this earlier today and from that the greatest number of people searching Google for "mobile phone recycling" are from Poplar, Bristol & Brentford!

Terrific information and if you happen to live in one of those town's then maybe going forward with this opportunity wouldn't be such a bad idea...

...But this is just an example to show you the power of the system.

My main point is next time you have that "eureka moment" - or a friend tells you about a new business opportunity - then why not spend a couple of minutes and try out this little trick?
