Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle:

'In which Charlie spouts forth on roulette systems
and why they're not an investment... reveals the
only way to guarantee a win at roulette... and
reveals the biz opp that changed his life.'

Hi,

On Sunday I talked briefly about a product called Gamble2retire...

If you didn't read that issue, I was concerned about a US-based product that encourages you to "gamble" in order to secure your financial future.

Sport investing can work.

It can help you put aside nice little amounts of tax free cash... and even enjoy huge windfalls... but NEVER use money you can't afford to lose. And
understand that even the best system and tipster can have a losing streak.

But in my view, what is certainly NOT investing... in any shape or form... is roulette.

Why roulette is one to avoid

Before I get a load of miffed missives from roulette system vendors - of which there are, depressingly, MANY - let me explain.

I'm a libertarian. I believe people should be able to do what they want in private. If you want to sell a roulette system, cool. If you want to buy one, cool.

If you like an occasional spin of the wheel, and have some money to blow, fair enough.

Fine by me.

And yes, a system is a good way to discipline yourself. It adds to the drama, fun and can even make regular money for periods of time. Enough to make you think:

"WOW, I've CRACKED IT! A license to print money! I'll NEVER need to worry about cash again!"

This doesn't necessarily follow, however...

If I were you, I'd avoid any product that guarantees money from roulette. Or even one that pretends to make you money over the long term.

For instance, there's a website called Mayfair racing. One of your fellow readers emailed me to say:

"I contacted the website to enquire about a
roulette system they were selling and the guy
suggested I buy some inside information
concerning a well known online casino."

Okay, fair enough. My reader continues:

"I could see people winning large amounts of cash
on a 'live' roulette table.... Anyway I sent some
money & waited for him to send me the info. I did
get the info eventually after many excuses and it
proved to be duff info."

So did the publishers offer a refund or explanation?

"They ignored most of my emails and when I sent
an enquiry from a different email address and
name the guy gave me his mobile number.
However, when he bothered to answer it he was
abusive.... I have since sent many emails asking
for my money back but they ignore all emails."

Not exactly good business practice. I'd avoid anything that demands you cash for roulette.

In fact, I'll save you some time and money right  now...

Here's a FREE roulette system

First off, set a budget at the beginning of the night. If you lose the money in your budget, STOP playing immediately.

Start off your evening with a base of 5 units. If you win, decrease your next stake by one unit. If you lose, INCREASE your next stake by one unit.

Given a reasonable run of wins and losses, this system is said to make a steady profit... over time.

Even if you have a losing run, this staking plan is supposed to reduce your losses.

But please note the words 'should', 'over time' and 'losses'.

Has it worked for me?

Nah.

But then I don't really go in for gambling. And that's what this is...

G-A-M-B-L-I-N-G

Even a system that works for you at one time can suddenly go pear shaped the next. I know I've mentioned this to you before, but have you ever heard of the 'Martingale' system?

It's where you bet by sticking to just one colour all night.

So imagine you decide to pick red....

What if a horrible statistical turn of events screws you over?

This happened, famously, in a Monte Carlo casino in 1913.

Black came up 28 consecutive times.

Ouch.

So is there ANY way you can beat the system with roulette

Yes, there is. But it's entirely illegal. It's got nothing to do with a mathematical system. And it could get you arrested.

In short, it should never be tried, unless you're a seasoned hustler.

What is it?

How to win at roulette

The technique is called "past-posting". It's where you use sleight of hand to place the bet AFTER the ball has landed in the slot.

Like I say, it's not a system, it's a flagrant cheat where you win on bets you don't even place.

Take a look at this. It's from one of my favourite programmes - The Real Hustle. (Well, you've got to know your enemy if you write about scams!)

So there you have it.

If there truly were a mathematical roulette system that could beat the casinos, I'm sure the hustlers wouldn't go to the trouble of inventing this risky and elaborate scam.

The only way to make consistent money

As I said last Sunday, I reckon there's only two ways to GUARANTEE you make money.

One is to buy something for a low price and sell it at a higher price.

The other is to make something, or provide a service, that people will willingly pay for.

So THIS Sunday, please look out for my email. I want to show you exactly how I started making money from home.

It's without a doubt, the business opportunity that changed my life.

Seriously, this is the BIGEE.

If you can't wait for the weekend, take a look at this for now:

The Writer's Life

If you can make this work, you WILL make money.

Yes, it takes time, patience and dedication. And it's not for everyone.

But if you have the vision and the desire, this will enable you to sell ANYTHING to ANYONE... ANYTIME... and even create stuff from thin air for
which people will pay you thousands of pounds.

That's guaranteed. (In the true sense of the word, not the one bandied about by roulette scamsters!)

I'll explain more at the weekend....

Later alligator
