Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle:
'In which Charlie turns on the moaners and whiners...
and gets positive by offering you 4 sneaky guerrilla
marketing tips for building big, profitable lists.'
Hi,
I was browsing through some forums the other day.
On one, a gaggle of idiots were having an ill-informed
moan.
They'd read a promotion for a product called 'No
Website Required'. In it, Avril Harper talks about legally
'stealing' other people's articles and using it to make
money.
"Surely that's plagiarism," they howled. "You can't use
other people's writing! That's theft."
"This is disgusting," bawled another, "I'm going to
complain."
Of course, they hadn't got a clue what they were talking
about. These are serial moaners addicted to complaining
on forums about things they don't like or understand.
They don't try these things. Instead, they feel superior by
mouthing off anonymously.
If they spent some of the time they spend complaining
trying to make money instead, well, who knows?
Avril's No Website Required is not about passing off the
work of professional writers as your own. It's about using
free resources to make money without needing your own
writing skills.
In fact, it's the first of the 4 'guerrilla' marketing tips I
want to show you today. These are legal tricks and
shortcuts that very few in the mainstream have a clue
about.
Why 'guerrilla'?
Because while big marketing companies have the
money, lawyers and experience to market their products
and build huge lists of buyers...
...guerrillas are ordinary folk.
We have to fight for our financial freedom by using the
minimal resources available to us. We have to do it
cheaply, from home, by ourselves. We thrive on finding
shortcuts and easy routes to the loot.
So, fellow comrade, read on and discover 4 of my
favourite guerrilla tips....

Guerrilla money making tip #1
******************************
There's a reason Avril puts 'stealing' in inverted
commas. It's obviously not illegal.
Anyone who knows anything about internet marketing
will know that the public domain is full of stuff with NO
copyright.
Take 'Think and Grow Rich', which I've offered to you in
the past free. It's perfectly legal for me to do this
because it's out of copright and for anyone can
repackage it for their own marketing purposes.
The groaners obviously haven't heard of online article
directories either.
These are big libraries of pre-written articles which you
can plunder, legally, and use for your own website,
magazine or email newsletter.
As long as you keep the author details and links, this is
also fine. Legal. Above board. Fine and dandy.
Yes, it's lazy, and yes it's a shortcut.
Here are 7 article directories to check out:

* http://www.goarticles.com
* http://www.submityourarticle.com/articles
* http://www.articleshop.co.uk
* http://www.absolutearticle.com
* http://articles.simplysearch4it.com
* http://www.buzzle.com/chapters/chapters.asp
These are essential resources that any online
entrepreneur should know about.
So the groaners only proved their ignorance.

Okay... onto money making tip number 3...

A new way to use Ebay drive traffic to your site
**********************************************
This is a neat trick. Rather than try those Pay Per Click
campaigns to build a flow of buyers to your website, use
eBay instead.
Create a short e-report that you can sell on Ebay for
£1.99.It could be a list of contacts, a list of tips you've
gathered on the internet. Make sure the report appeals
to the sort of customers you want for your website.
Say you're trying to drive people to a site where you're
marketing a new diet supplement. In this case, you'd
knock up a report called "17 Delicious Weight Loss
Foods"... or "How to Burn Double the Calories For Half
the Effort."
People looking for diet stuff on Ebay will find your e-
report. When they buy it, you point them to your website.
A product designed to capture new buyers like this is
called a 'name generator'.
If you're involved in an MLM, email newsletter, or online
marketing of any kind, this is a fantastic tool for building
a list.
You can also break this report down into 500 word
articles and post them on the article directories I've
shown you.
This will become another course of new buyers, as your
website will be included every time someone uses your
piece.

Tip #3: Create your own e-reports for nothing
*********************************
If all the above seems really complex to you, here's a
nifty little secret. It's really easy to knock up your own
mini report without paying someone to turn your Word
document into a PDF (the format that ebooks come in).
Go to:
http://www.thepdfconverter.com
Follow the instructions on the left. You'll quickly end up
with your own ebook that you can use as a "name
generator".
Easy, cheap, and as good as the professional stuff.

Money making tip #4
*********************
To take this free report idea even further....
Once you've sold your report and thanked the new
customer by email. Don't stop there.
Carry on!
Offer them a free weekly email newsletter. Sell them the
benefits - eg: "you'll get the latest news on our dieting
product, plus simple weight loss tips every week".
You send out a short email out twice a week, keeping in
contact with yours customers and occasionally pushing
your product or offer.
It doesn't have to be well-written. It can be 500 words
about what you're up to, with links to your websites and
products.
Hey presto - you now have the most valuable home
business resource ever: a list of loyal, qualified buyers.

A final word to all warriors!

Hope that's given you some new ideas and inspiration.
Just because we're home business folk, doesn't mean
we can't fight the big boys using underhand - yet LEGAL
- guerrilla tactics!
