Feedback on UK millionaire, FX Money and Ebay secrets

Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle:

'In which Charlie has a weird week, gets feedback on The UK
Millionaire, Atkins Forex, FX Money Map and eBay
Powerseller's Secrets.'

Hi,

Before I report the latest feedback, here's a quick rundown of
what's been happening in my world....

* Friday 7th, 4:30pm... I go blind in one eye for no apparent
reason. My left pupil dilates and becomes fixed.  My right
pupil shrinks to the size of a pinhead.

* Saturday 8th 7:30am... I'm in casualty wearing
sunglasses, panicking, with my pupil still dilated and fixed.

* Saturday 8th 1:30pm... I leave casualty realising that I
accidentally contaminated my eye with my dog's cataract
medicine and that I will have to look like a crazed
madman until it wears off on Monday.

* Friday 14th 3:30 pm...My dog collapses on the afternoon
walk and I have to carry him a mile in my arms.

* Friday 14th: 4:30pm... the vet tells me the dog has a
stomach virus and asks me for £300 for the various blood
tests. To check it's nothing serious.

* Sunday 16th. 3pm... I come in from a pub lunch to find
the dog limping on 3 legs. More panic.

* Sunday 16th 7pm... The dog is fine again, we realise it
was probably a wasp sting. I clear up the fallen apples
from the garden to keep the little buggers at bay.

* Monday 17th 8am... The dog's stomach virus has caused
him to poo in large amounts all over the kitchen. I clear it
up.

* Monday 17th 8:30am... The dog has also done his
business in the garden. I go to pick it up with a plastic bag
and, yes, I get stung by a wasp. My jerky reaction causes
the bag to split. My hands are now covered in poo. Stings
and poo.

* Monday 17th 9am... I'm leaping about in agony, shouting
obscenities, smearing my finger in antiseptic and manuka
honey, and threatening to give the dog to my parents.

There you go. I made that as brief and painless as possible. But I
had to get it off my chest.

Right, down to business....

More on Pulse

A few weeks ago I talked about The Secrets of Viral Marketing
from a publisher called Pulse.

They've got another one out called The UK Millionaire. One of my
readers recently tried to send it back for a refund.

She called them up to get her request passed to head honcho
David Tye...

"He responded by email soon after saying he was refusing to
refund me as I had not met conditions stated on the website.
When I wrote back asking him to state the conditions as I could
not find them on the website he never responded to this very day.
There were no conditions when I bought the product and
suddenly goal posts shifted when I wanted to return it."

Hmmm... the unconditional becomes the conditional... not good.

Why you should read the small print

Another reader passed on a warning about reading the small
print on Colin Atkin's Forex service.

The product itself was "very good". But for their own reasons, my
reader didn't want to continue...

"I paid over £200 for the membership thinking it was on 30 days
free trial as most things I have purchased have been. After
reading more carefully into what I had bought I realised that to
get the refund I had to show proof of trading. I "chickened out" on
trading when I saw Colin lose a few trades. I applied for my
money back and was told there is no chance without the
evidence of the attempted trades."

Ahh.... the old conditional guarantee trap.

This is one to avoid by making sure the sales promotion states
clearly that the refund promise has NO conditions. No quibble
should mean no quibble.

If it doesn't say that, then I'd be very careful about buying an
expensive product. My reader is now tied in for 3 months paying
£97plus VAT.

However, it's not all bad out there in FX land...

FX Money Map

I've been asked if I've got any feedback on the FX Money Map.
Now I haven't tried this, but Dave Evans of What Really Profits
(find out about his fantastic review service here) has some insights.

According to Dave, this charting system teaches you about using
support and resistance levels in the market. Some users
complain that you can get this information and analysis
elsewhere. And that there's no refund option.

But Dave says: "In my experience, this system works. It's not
cheap and there is no money back guarantee, but the system
does seem to work."

Personally, I'd be careful of services with no refund offer at all.
Even if the product is really good, what if your circumstances
suddenly change?

A less risky route for a beginner could be to check out a forex site
called Baby Pips. It covers charting, FX theory and various
strategies for free.

Some good feedback on eBay Powerseller

I've had a couple of emails about the eBay Powersellers Secrets,
which I reviewed earlier in the month.

One reader says:

"I've bought Amanda's book and quite honestly it's one of the
best ebay books I've seen.  Best information and advice I've seen
regarding creating headlines, advertising copy.  Love it!"

It's nice when something gets the good feedback it deserves.

A few other readers wanted to know whether this book was only
about drop-shipping... if it could be applied to any kind of eBay
business... and whether storage space would be an issue.

All good questions which I can answer here...

The manual shows you everything from scratch, including how to
set up your first eBay products, how to set up a shop, how to find
hot products, and where to source products outside the internet.

So it applies to anyone wanting to start on eBay, with any type of
product, and at any level.

However, the course does recommend finding a wholesaler
online, and shows you how to do this. In these cases you will be
storing products in your home, garage or wherever you have
space. It will depend on what type of product.

Amanda's recommendation is to test the saleability of the product
by ordering very small amounts.

She then goes on to recommend drop-shipping as a solution to
this storage problem. So the book covers all bases really.
