Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle:

'In which Charlie gets controversial about betting opps, exposes a flimsy guarantee on a website you MUST avoid, and reveals one of the few good tipping services in the UK.'

Hi,

I've found another betting opp to avoid.

A "must not" rather than a "must have".

Before you groan, I know I get very shirty about betting opps. I barely ever recommend them and I'm always taking the mick out of the latest chancer.

Last year I felt like I was turning into a nagging old auntie, moaning about risks and money back trials, and "ooh you'll catch the death of cold".

But when you see DOZENS (seriously) of these things every month like me, it's hard to stay calm.

You know the kind of thing...

Vets who claim they have magic milkshakes that turn horses into Red Rum. Geniuses who have solved ancient mathematical probability riddles using only a ballpoint pen and a helmet made of cheese. Geezers who demand payment up front based on their cockney rhyming slang car salesmen 'ave a banana' websites.

Well, I've made a resolution. This year I'm not taking any crap from these cheeky sods. And I'll say this right now:

"Most... not ALL, but MOST.... of the zillion squillion betting tipsters in Britain are rubbish."

SHOCK HORROR! AMAZING TRUTH EXPOSED!
NATION GOES MENTAL

I don't even count betting as a real business opportunity.

Sorry, I know it's not what most people like to hear, but hey ho, I'm going to break the mould. If you want a guaranteed annual income with low risk and a long future, you need to start your own home business.

That's it, plain and simple.

The only way to make money is to buy low, sell high. Or find a strong demand and fulfil people's desires in return for cash. This is true whether it's import-export, trading, investing, Ebay, Amazon bookselling, publishing email newsletters, or creating Family Trees for eager, paying customers.

This is not to say you shouldn't buy and enjoy GOOD betting products.

If you have spare cash and like a flutter, then you should get your hands on as much information as possible.

Absolutely.

Better to follow a system than blindly gamble. And hey, they're FUN and we all deserve a past-time or two.

Best of all about good betting systems - you can enjoy huge instant windfalls. Buy yourself something nice.
Take a holiday. Use the money for another free flutter.

Great!

You can also make regular chunks of extra cash each week to take to the pub, spend on the loved one, cheer up your mates.

Nice!

But don't bet money you can't afford to lose, that's all.
Don't bet the farm. Because even the best tipster can have a losing streak.

What I recommend and where to get it
************************************

The best betting products are those that teach you the ins and outs of a certain specialist area... like sports betting, fixed odds betting, or arbitrage.

These help you spot situations where you can put the odds on your side, swing things more your way, or exploit bookies' mistakes.

Take a look at the 'betting' section of my website:

http://www.bizoppjungle.com

You'll see that I like the 'Sports Statistician', because it gives you the specialist info you need to make good bets. I like 'The Insider' because Mr X is a genuine odds compiler who exposes bookmaking errors, rather than boasts of some 'miracle secret'.

And I like 'What Really Wins Money', because Clive Keeling filters out all the bad systems and only shows you those that he has road-tested successfully himself.

All these kinds of things come with proper trial periods and come highly recommended.

What I don't like are things like this....

****************************
An offer with a flimsy guarantee
****************************

A reader has shown me a website written by a guy called "Peter B".

This surname-dodger promises to show you how to make £50 a day on Betfair. His website is called "betfair.slipbank", so watch out for it, but please don't buy anything from it.

Why?

First, because he doesn't even give his full name!

Personally, I wouldn't trust anyone who didn't put his own name at the bottom of a sale pitch unless it was a necessary pseudonym to protect him - if, say, he worked for a bookies for instance.

In which case I would like to see details of the publisher or at least proper contact details.

But in this case he offers no customer testimonials, no proof of earnings, no contact numbers or address.

You're expected to take everything on trust. Except the website is so poorly written, it doesn't even build trust by explaining his back story, his system, his experience
- you get nothing!

Yes, he has a nice little badge on the site that says "100% money back guarantee". But he gives no time frame for this trial, no terms or conditions. Therefore it's a WORTHLESSS guarantee. It's there to make it SEEM like you'll get your money back.

In the event that his betting info turns out to be a pile of toilet tissue, you won't have a leg to stand on.

He also claims that his £23 price is cheap because his two systems will make your money back in your first week.

I think the word is "might".

And finally, he says "please buy them now because I think I will stop selling them once I have sold 45 copies."

Er, why would he suddenly stop selling them?

What an odd comment. I mean, what's his reason? If you have a book or manual, there's no limit to how many you would want to sell. Unless you're a total idiot.

And why does he only "think" he will stop selling them?
Is he not sure?

No, because he's talking nonsense.

The only time you would limit the number of customers is when you are managing, training and tipping for a lot of customers and therefore can't take on too many people or you'd dilute the quality of the service....

Or you'd do this if having too many people in the system would start moving the market and ringing alarm bells in the industry.

He doesn't explain his reason. So ignore this.

A rare recommended tipster
**************************

All that said, there are a few really good services out there, run well, with decent staking plans. One of the few tipping services I recommended last year was 'The Legacy'.

It's still getting nice feedback, like this comment sent on December 10th:

"I am trialling [Legacy] using small stakes at this stage.
To date, after 11 selections, it has a strike rate of 55% at the top end of the 40-60% range you claim which is excellent and is showing a profit of 13.41% on level stakes."

Most importantly, you get a proper trial period to test out the tips and see for yourself.

So if you are thinking about trying a betting system, this one place you should go:

Legacy and Saver

I'll be back with more soon!

Later alligator
