Today's Adventure in the Biz Opp Jungle:

'In which Charlie gets flak and then gets his own
back... finds a reader being messed with by a chancer
from Solihull and flies into a rage.'

Hi,

Sometimes I get in trouble for speaking my mind in
these emails...

I admit, I'm often a bit cavalier in my attacks on
products that under-deliver and then don't offer money
back.

And yes, I'm a bit sniffy about a lot of fly-by-night
betting opportunities that take your money and run.

(I'm sniffy about a lot of things right now, as I've
caught the man-flu AGAIN!)

When I sound off about the latest "never gonna make
you money" Multi-Level-Marketing opps I get a heap of
angry retorts.

(Mainly from people actually in those MLMs.)

"You're just blurting out your opinion!" say my critics.

Yep. Indeed I am.

**********************************
Why good old-fashioned OPINION works
**********************************

To create these emails I use my right to free speech...
my individual opinions... and the hundreds of emails
from readers I get every month... not to mention my
contacts and vast personal experience.

Still, you get people who think I come barrelling in like
a... well, like a barrel barrelling in, I suppose....

I'm too hard. Too gobby. Too quick to throw in my
tuppenceworth.

My usual retort to these accusations goes along these
lines:

"If you want someone who treads on eggshells, takes
months to come up with an elaborate review while you
lose money, and won't say anything to offend people
in the industry.... then go to another review service.
No skin off my nose."

The idea of these emails is to give you a free resource,
keep you company on your journey and give you a bit
of a laugh.

But when a subscriber gets bad customer service, or
outright DIDDLED, I get mad.

I get mad reading about their experiences.

Then I get EVEN by writing these emails to you.

*********************************
Here's a classic example of a dodgy operator who
makes me FUME
**********************************

To give you an example. I got an email last week
about a certain Gary Smith of Solihull Press, also
known as the 'Academy'.

My reader emailed me to say:

"I saw an ad in Exchange and Mart, stating it was
possible to earn £6K a week from home, I went to the
website, inputted my details, received a sales letter
through the post, like a fool completed the application
form with my credit card details for the sum of £49.97."

Okay...

First mistake here was to give credit card details to a
strange, unsolicited company. But who cares about
that? You should at least get a product in return...

...Right?

Well, not necessarily. The email continued:

"I then received 2 'manuals' through the post telling me
how I could make money sending a 'special letter'
which wasn't included with the manuals. I had to write
and request my copy of the 'special letter' which took
ages to arrive and after a threatening letter from me
stating that if I did not receive the 'special letter' I
would be suing them for breach of contract."

Good approach here.

Whenever you think you've not been delivered what
you were promised, write back immediately in the
strongest possible terms.

For this reader, something did eventually arrive in the
post.

"To make money I have to get my name or trading
name and address printed on it and mail it to
interested parties (by buying a mailing list). For every
£30 I receive I would have to send Gary Smith /
Solihull Press £6 and keep the remaining £24."

Of course, my reader would have to pay personally for
the cost of printing, envelopes, stamps and the mailing
list.

So ultimately he's paid nearly £50 to find out how to
make THEM money.

And that's only after he's shelled out his OWN money
on a business idea that's as flaky and shallow as a
puddle full of muesli.

This isn't a business opportunity. This is a work at
home scam along the lines of directories, envelope
stuffing and all the others.

******************************
Now HERE'S where I'll get in trouble
******************************

"Ah, but hold on Charlie!" you cry. "LEGALLY you can't
say this is a scam. After all, your reader got the
'special letter as promised."

Well, OKAY THEN...

This isn't an outright scam...

It's cheating, low down, underhand and scuzzy
behaviour designed to dupe good people into parting
with their hard earned cash.

How's about that, then, Mr Smith?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ARGH!

Puts me in a bad mood, it really does. If you want to
try something where you'll get a product that SHOWS
you how to make money... AND where you can get
your money back if it doesn't work... go here:

http://www.bizopppjungle.com

If I've recommended it, you'll know the publishing
company is reliable and won't take your money to the
Caribbean on an extended holiday.

Right. I'm off to calm down over a hot toddy.

Later alligator
